I tried drawing her again without looking at my first draft. I'm not sure if it's better or worse.

I dunno the fic and how the character is supposed to be, but I like this version much more. The face has a very interesting structure and the whole body and expression are/seem to be very relaxed and... in balance and very content. What does fit the activities (Yoga?) from the first pictures.

(also: I really like that outfit... would like that top)

I want to do a decent illustration before I link to the fic since I'd feel bad if I messed up people's mental image of the main character. But if you want to check it out, it's called Paya's House. There is some sex and violence, but I think that's almost required for a Alien v Predator fic, y'know?

But I will warn you that the first few chapters take place in a "nursing home" and that was kind of upsetting for me, since a lot of sad memories about my grandpa popped up.

I'm pretty sure I have that top hiding somewhere >.>

First of all - thank you for linking - I tried Aliven vs Pred fics 2-3 times and always stopped very soon, since they where just written very... uninteresting and not so very... 'makes you read on-ish'. This one is quiet good, I already got to chapter 3, just on my way to work and back, I really enjoy it!

So now I also get why she is dressed the way she is, but I think I am not far enough to get her calmness you gave her in this picture, since right now she is rather stressed. BUT I think your overall picture of her is really good, can imagine her look like that

AVP fics are almost always bad. Not even funny bad. Just did you seriously just write that bad. It's disappointing. There are a handful of good ones though. It's hard to find them and they're usually on permanent hiatus. Like Artistic License or Nature Vs Nurture. I have problems with those fics too but they have interesting set ups and original conflicts. Plus, the author willing to make the protagonist somewhat unlikeable, which I like. It means there's room to grow and change, y'know?

Yesss absolutely that... I thought until now, I just chose bad, but seems that there really are few nice ones to read... For now I am happy to have read this one, was at some point a bit too heroic for me, but well written~
I'll also try the others out, maybe they are neat, too, thanks for sharing~
